William and I packed our bags yesterday and headed out on a flight to Rochester MN. After meeting with my team of doctors here at the Mayo Clinic we decided we needed to celebrate the fantastic report that I got. The doctor said that I show no signs that the throat cancer has returned and I am doing so well I don’t have to come back to see him until next June.
We left the clinic and went straight to Old Abe’s Coffee House for an early lunch where we met four delightful ladies. We told them we were visiting from NC and asked them where we should visit around Rochester. They suggested we go to the zoo to see the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular display of over 5,000 carved pumpkins. We had no idea just how spectacular this display was but it being Halloween we thought it was the thing for us to do.
I’d love to share ALL the jack-o-lanterns with you but I think it is better that I narrow it down to about 20 or so of our favorites.
Happy Halloween everyone!
So super delighted to hear that all is well!!!

I loved reading about this answer to prayer, amen and amen. ❤️
And the pumpkins, such artistry, such detail!
I loved them all but I believe ET captured my heart the most.

Amen for sure! I have been lifted up in prayer by so many. And with over 5000 pumpkins it was difficult to pick just one favorite. I loved ET too!

Wowzer! I am so happy for your report! Praise God! And what a fun adventure you both had. Those pumpkins were amazing. I loved them all. The Snow White one was my favorite but that skull one was neat too. It looked very large. Love you both. Safe travels!

Look at the “skull” one again. It was Darth Vader! So cool!
