Hallstat, Austria

Located less than 20 miles from Salzburg, Austria there is this little town with breathtaking views.  While William and I were planning our trek across Eastern Europe I stumbled across this beauty.  Hallstat is one of the oldest still inhabited settlements in Europe and  a UNESCO heritage site.

We found this really nice Bed and Breakfast which had awesome views right from our bedroom balcony.

I just loved the snow capped mountains and it even snowed while we were here.

We walked into the quaint little village on both of the days we were here.   Hallstat is famous for their Salt Mine tours and Five Fingers overlook.   We decided instead to just sit back, rest, and enjoy the views.  We really needed the down time after all the Sites we visited in France.
