A Day in Strasbourg France

This morning Marianna took us to Strasbourg France.   The jewel of this city was the Lady of Strasbourg Cathedral built in 760.  Here are a few shots of the organ, stained glass windows, arches, and the astronomical clock.

The city was a typical French city and the atmosphere was so relaxed.  People were riding bikes everywhere and there were so many neat shops.  I read that Strasbourg is marvelous and quite similar to Venice with many clear rivers crossing the city.  We did see several of the water tour boats.   However the shops that caught my eye were the French bakeries.

We had a wonderful lunch in a nearby town and I will never forget the reaction of our French waiter when William asked for Coffee at the beginning of his meal.  Seems that in France a lunch should last at least two hours long, should be a four course meal and the very last thing to sip on your Demi tasse cup of coffee.

Oh my! That church is amazing. It reminds me of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Love it! William, you’re looking pretty hip in that 2nd picture. Rosa you look great too!

    1. And that dinner in front of him was the restaurant’s specialty. It was so good I talked him into trading with me and I enjoyed every bite!
